stART Something

“For the future of our children and our communities, we must find new ways to engage students in the learning process. The arts can be a powerful vehicle through which to challenge young people’s minds, stir their creativity, instill discipline, and build self-esteem.”

Lawrence A. Hough, President & CEO, Sallie Mae

stART Something is a regional program of the Cultural Alliance of York County. As a PCA/Arts in Education Partner, stART Something is dedicated to bringing artist residencies to schools and community organizations in Adams, Franklin, and York counties. Artist residencies are custom-designed experiences that integrate arts into the classroom curriculum.

Currently, the professional artists in our program include composers, dancers, painters, ceramicists, poets, storytellers, and mosaic muralists.
